Notes: A single carburetor cost is 10% higher than ˝ cost of a pair. (i.e. 1 H type is $233.50, 1 HS & HIF is $205.50)

Included in the price of the rebuild is the replacement of shafts, jets, metering needles and the plating of the steel and brass hardware in either zinc, silver, nickel or black zinc depending upon which is appropriate for the application.

The term “Rebuilding” is now a misnomer; we are actually remanufacturing/restoring carburetors. The last S.U carb fitted to a US imported car was the 1974 MGB, which is now over 30 years old; that is a lot of bad mechanics ago. My restoring service is aimed at correcting all the bad work having been done over the years. The jobs that we were able to do easily with a kit 30 years ago are gone, shafts, jets, metering needles have suffered as well as major components, pistons and domes corroded, dented or damaged, bodies have had bushes installed incorrectly. All this requires a serviceman with a knowledge of how they were actually made and how they left the factory.

Triple carb sets cost ˝ again the cost of a pair (i.e. Healey 3000 HS 4 is $ 562.50, XKE's are $ 637.50)

THROTTLE SHAFT replacement is available outside of the normal rebuild. Standard shafts and bushes in H, HD and HS are 115.00 and include shafts. HS carbs using oversize shafts are 95.00 the pair Bentley, Rolls Royce, and Pre-War units require a phone call for a quote.

Black powder coating as used on Pre-war Bentley and early Aston carbs is available approx 150.00 the pair.

Automatic water choke carbs were problematic when they were new, they did not get better with age. I will R&R the choke unit to the best of my ability BUT they have a life of their own, so if they do not function there is no guarantee on my part. I will try to troubleshoot but if ever possible I try to get a manual choke conversion.

KITS
Our brand of kits is BRITISH SUPERIOR they are available for most S.U (pre-war and post)and Zeniths (side draft) as well as some for Solex and Down Draft Zeniths, please contact me for prices and applications. Most of our components are manufactured by us here in USA, and they are the same parts used by me in my rebuilds. My line of throttle shafts for both S.U and Zenith has been a staple of the rebuilding scene for over 20 years. I have made the MGA & TR3 rubber float bowl (auc 1524) in Viton which is resistant to swelling caused by modern fuel, they are marked either with a V or V7. There is a close attention to detail regarding fit and performance of my kit components. I can assemble pretty much any part combination for any SU carb.

METERING NEEDLES
I have in stock over 800 different needle designations, all the common ones as well as many "specials" for performance tuning, including the elusive Methanol and H8 designations.

THROTTLE SHAFTS
We are the manufacturer and supplier of all the S.U and Zenith CD & CDSE2 in standard and +.010 diameters since 1985 and sell the tooling for fitting both standard and oversize shafts
